About PDF Toolbox
PDF Toolbox provides browser-based PDF tools and guides for document workflows. Browser tools process documents on your device; guide pages explain jobs that use separate software.
How the tools work
The site uses JavaScript and WebAssembly libraries for local document processing. PDF encryption uses qpdf, and OCR uses Tesseract.js. Program files may download on first use; your PDF is processed in browser memory. Review capabilities and verify network behavior.
Evidence and editorial approach
Tool pages describe their practical limits. Scenarios marked illustrative are explanations, not measured benchmarks. Public sample files and reproducible checks let you inspect results for yourself.
Independent project
PDF Toolbox is not affiliated with Adobe or the library projects it uses. We do not claim security certification or universal compatibility. Read how document processing and hosting differ.
Feedback
For tool issues, record the tool name, browser version, settings and a description of what failed. Use a synthetic sample rather than a confidential document. See the contact page.
